We’re here to help you plan your adventure!

Our wineries are close enough to each other that you can visit several in a day and experience them all in a long weekend. They include Jules J. Berta Vineyards in Albertville, Wills Creek Vineyards in Attalla, Maraella Winery in Hokes Bluff, White Oak Vineyards in Anniston, Fruithurst Winery in Furithurst, and High Country Cellars in Heflin.

Every vineyard hosts wine tastings and has bottles available for purchase. Whether you’re packing a picnic and spending the day with that special someone, kicking back with good friends and even better wine, or developing your palate to impress your friends back home with new wine knowledge, there’s a world of adventure around every vine in North Alabama.

Not only will you have fun, but you’ll also get some health benefits! Recent research shows muscadine grapes grown in Alabama have an impressive 500% more antioxidants than other grapes.

We think that’s reason enough to raise a toast to Alabama wineries!

Jules J. Berta Vineyards

1. Jules J. Berta Winery

Day 2 Stop 2 Located atop Sand Mountain in Albertville, Ala. The vineyards are five acres of vines on a 22 acre farm, and mostly consist of Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and other varietals. They additionally have fruits wines and Muscadine wines grown by local Alabama farmers.

2. Wills Creek Vineyards & Winery

Located in nearby Duck Springs, Ala., is one of three active wineries North of I-20. The vineyards are nestled in the peashell hills of the Duck Springs Valley, in the heart of the Duck Springs wildlife preserve. Wills Creek Vineyards offers several varieties of muscadine, fruit wines and grape wines, and a family tradition spanning many generations of wine making that immigrated from Switzerland with the wine maker.

3. Maraella Winery

Located in the picturesque foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Hokes Bluff, Ala. Established in 2005, their vineyards include estate grown and bottled Cabernet Sauvignon. Offers visitors a choice between classic viniferous varietals and traditional Alabama fruit wines. Gift shop has a great selection of cheeses and wine novelties. Stop in for a complimentary wine tasting and tour.

4. Fruithurst Winery

The Fruithurst Winery is nestled just north of the town of Fruithurst, AL Its name comes from one of the original wineries in the state. Surrounded by fifteen acres of muscadine vineyards, now owned and operated by two cousins, it carries the elegance and culture of what was then and will forever be the vineyard village.

Our premium Alabama wines include organically grown fruit wines, dry red and white wines, muscadine wines and sparkling muscadine wine. Our beautiful green eco-friendly vineyards are surrounded by inspiring mountain views located in scenic and historic Choccolocco Valley. We're situated only minutes from Anniston, Alabama and only about 5 minutes from I-20, halfway between Birmingham, Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia.
