Older than the state of Alabama, this serene 1818 village is the oldest incorporated town in the state. 1820s Stage Coach Inn and Tavern, 1839 community brick church, and the 1840 town post office. The entire town is on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of Alabama's most important and intact villages. Historic homes and buildings, gracious gardens, and tree-shaded streets make a visit to Mooresville seem like a step back in time.
The town was used in the filming of the Disney movie “Tom and Huck.” Hours: Self-guided driving or walking tours anytime. Information on festivals can be found on the website.
