    Wheeler Resort Lodge offers a fantastic view from the picturesque wood and stone lodge. The Lodge is located just off the main Tennessee River within the quiet beauty of First Creek. The land surrounding the creek is all part of the park and offers a pristine nature backdrop. All 75 rooms are lakeside and each has a balcony facing the lake. The lakeside cottages are located in the mouth of First Creek, have two or three bedrooms.Each cottage has a wonderful view of Wheeler Lake. The cabins are located on the south side of the Tennessee River near Wheeler Dam. This area has accessibility to both Wheeler and Wilson Lakes. Joe Wheeler State Park is the place to camp in the great outdoors! The park features improved camping and primitive camping, with campsites located in a wooded setting surrounded by towering pines and hardwoods. The campground has a total of 116 campsites. 110 of those campsites have full hookup with water, electricity, and sewer. 3 bathhouses located in each section. Most sites can accommodate any size camping unit. Tents are also welcome. Picnic tables, pedestal, or fire grill grills are located at each site. Park also has 18-hole golf course, tennis court, boat launch, swimming, picnic areas, hiking trails, boat rentals, banquet facilities, group lodge, and pavilion,
