Athens residents have heard the stories. The story about the college student who fell to her death sneaking out to meet her lover and is said to still be wandering Founders Hall at Athens State University. Or the story of Rev. Robert Donnell holding his bible study class in the parlor of the Donnell House, over 150 years after his death.

Whether you believe in ghost stories or not, these stories have been told for generations and are only a sample of what visitors will learn during the Athens’ Historic Haunts Walk, The Walks will intrigue visitors with tales of paranormal activity in residences and buildings.

Storyteller Shane Black will delight the group with lore and history as they stroll throughout Athens’ historic district. The 90-minute walk will entertain both believers and non-believers. In the tranquility of the night Shane will share the details of the “

    "Tales of Athens”.

“Will you see a spirit, poltergeist, or ghost? Who knows? It’s an unforgettable haunted evening of spooky fun for all ages.
