Santa, Shopping, Cider and More!
Downtown Rogersville’s Open House is set for November 4.
Decatur, Ala. – Christmas and the holiday season arrive early in downtown Rogersville when the merchants open their doors for the annual Rogersville Open House. Set for Saturday, November 4, 2017, Downtown Rogersville Open House offers a day of Christmas music, visits with Santa and holiday magic while shoppers search for that perfect gift.
During the Downtown Rogersville Open House, discover the finest in southern hospitality and a wonderful selection of locally owned shops and boutiques. What has become a downtown Rogersville tradition, the family event is an alternative to shopping malls and big box retailers. Locally owned shops participating in the Open House include The Lemon Tree, Sugar Creek, Too Peas Gifts, Village Interiors, Artisan Fair, Stephen’s Unique Antiques, Merle Norman Cosmetics and Gracie Bees.
Many of the shops will offer great sales, specials and giveaways throughout the day and shoppers can sip on hot apple cider and enjoy snacks while getting a jumpstart on their Christmas shopping list. As an added bonus, shoppers spending $50 dollars in participating stores between now and Christmas Open House are entered in a drawing for a chance to win $250 worth of Rogersville gift cards.
Along with searching for that perfect gift, the daylong event is filled with special holiday activities that are sure to get everyone in the holiday spirit. Children are invited to have their picture made with Santa Claus at Gracie Bees, and from noon to 2 p.m., the Corinth Quartet will flood the streets with Christmas carols and songs of praise.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, call the Rogersville Area Chamber of Commerce at 256.247.9449 or visit the First Saturdays Downtown Rogersville Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/FirstSaturdayDowntownRogersville/.
