Cullman Gears Up for Two Days of Sweet Fun at the 2026 Alabama Strawberry Festival

Decatur, Ala. (February 24, 2026) – A berry sweet celebration is planned the last Friday and Saturday in April when the North Alabama town of Cullman gears up for its annual festival centered around strawberries. Set for April 24-25, 2026, in Depot Park, the Alabama Strawberry Festival celebrates the town’s rich agricultural heritage, offering two days filled with family-friendly activities, live entertainment and fresh strawberries.

As far back as 1898, the strawberry has been an agricultural calling card for Cullman and to celebrate, the town comes together to offer an event centered on the red berry. In 2023, the Governor of Alabama officially recognized the annual strawberry celebration in Cullman as the Alabama Strawberry Festival. Now in its 87th year, the event is Alabama’s longest-running strawberry festival. Many local farmers will be on hand selling their produce, and most importantly, fresh, locally grown strawberries. Make sure to stop by the Festhalle Marketplatz early to purchase a basket of berries to take home.

This year’s event welcomes Ernest, Lauren Watkins, Cody Lohden, Rhys Rutherford, Alex Lambert, Ashleigh Graham, Dirty Rotten Vipers (also performs Saturday), Kristina Murray and Zachariah Smith to the stage on Friday, April 24 and Dylan Marlowe, Owen Riegling, Kylie Morgan, Kaleb Sanders, Greylan James, Miles Miller, Darren Nicholson Band and Burnett Sisters on Saturday, April 25. Anyone will be able to view the concert, but the best vantage point with reserved seating will require a ticket. Premium general admission ticket is $29.99/single day and $49.99/two day pass and VIP is $79.99/single day and $99.99/two day pass. Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased at https://www.alabamastrawberryfest.com/tickets. Gates open at 3 p.m. both days with bands beginning around 4 p.m. Stay tuned to https://www.alabamastrawberryfest.com/artists for additional announcements.

Along with fresh strawberries, the Alabama Strawberry Festival offers a variety of food vendors with strawberry menu items, a kid’s area, a doggie pawgeant, a strawberry-inspired baking contest and over 90 artisan vendors selling strawberry-themed food, handcrafted collectibles, boutique-style clothing and locally sourced products.

Festival goers can test their strength and agility at the Ninja Nation Obstacle Course, a thrilling attraction at this year's Alabama Strawberry Festival. Beginning at 9 a.m., competitors will race against the clock with prizes for the fastest finishers. The competition is for ages 16 and older and advance registration is required.

Senior Day is designated for Friday, April 24 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Activities include a strawberry jam contest, trivia contest, live music by the Cadillac and prizes for the best strawberry themed attire. Large groups can inquire about shuttle drop-off, parking and more by calling 256-734-9157.
