Blount County Fair Returns Sept. 15-19 with Family Fun, Livestock Shows and Agricultural Traditions
Decatur, Ala. (August 13, 2026) – Families are invited to experience the sights, sounds and traditions of the fair when the Blount County Fair returns Sept. 15-19, 2026, bringing five days of family-friendly entertainment, agricultural events and community fun to Blount County.
The annual fair offers something for visitors of all ages, from livestock shows and youth agricultural programs to hands-on cooking demonstrations and special activities for children.
The fair opens at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 15th, and the fun continues throughout the week with a full schedule of livestock shows and activities, including the second annual horse show on Friday night and the Show Me Swine Racers are back for two shows nightly. Special friends day will be held on September 17th.
Beyond the agricultural events and educational activities, fairgoers can enjoy all the classic fun that makes a county fair a favorite fall tradition. Families can take a spin on carnival rides, test their skills at midway games, enjoy classic fair food and sweet treats and spend time together soaking up the lively atmosphere.
Daily admission is $5 per person and free for 5 and under. Ride armbands are $18 on September 15, 16 and 17 and $25 on September 18 and 19 or individual ride tickets will be available for purchase.
