AMLA Hires Visitor Services Representative
Decatur, Ala. (July 7, 2022) – The Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association (AMLA) announces the hiring of Penne Beasley as a full-time visitor services representative. Beasley is responsible for providing front-line customer service to all visitors and guests of the North Alabama region and support to AMLA’s 500 members located in the 16 northern-most counties of Alabama. She assumed responsibilities July 5, 2022.
In her role as visitor services representative, Beasley reports to Vice President for Operations Angie Pierce. The primary responsibilities for the visitor services representative position entail providing excellent customer service while greeting visitors in person and by phone, responding to questions and requests for North Alabama tourism products and Alabama Bass Trail information, maintaining visitor information resources and responding to member requests. The visitor services representative also supports the vice president for operations in basic administrative functions and projects.
“The visitor services representative is a vital member of the organization’s operations team and critical to growing North Alabama’s tourism industry. Penne brings a wide range of valuable skills to our organization and we are looking forward to her contributions to AMLA,” said President/CEO Tami Reist.
Beasley comes to AMLA with eight years of office management, administration and client services experience. She previously worked for Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services. She is a life-long native of Decatur and has a daughter (Maggie), son (Spencer), daughter-in-law (Lauren) and one grandson, Lawson, who just turned two years old.
Beasley replaces Randy Paul Stepleton who is retiring after 16 years of dedicated service to the North Alabama tourism industry.
