AMLA Hires Part-Time Member Services Representative  

Decatur, Ala. (April 9, 2021) – The Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association (AMLA) announces the hiring of Mickie Collier as a part-time member services representative. Collier is  responsible for providing support and service to AMLA’s 500 members located in the 16 northern-most counties of Alabama.

In his role as member services representative, Collier reports to Vice President for Operations Angie Pierce. He is responsible for the distribution of brochures and materials to members, other organizations and agencies located in the 16 northern-most counties of Alabama; recruiting new members; representing AMLA at meetings and functions throughout the region and providing upkeep and maintenance to all AMLA brochure racks.

“We are excited to welcome Mickie and know he will be a valuable addition to our tourism team,” said President/CEO Tami Reist. “Our focus is to be a source to our members as they rebuild and recover after a challenging 2020. Mickie, with his passion for North Alabama, will help guide our mission as we go through these ever-changing times in tourism.”

Collier is a native of Limestone County. Before joining AMLA, he worked with the Alabama Department of Transportation where he retired in 2013. He resides in Athens with his wife, Trisa, and they have twins (Eli and EJ), a daughter (Marlena Langseth), a son-in-law (Ian Langseth) and a grand dog named Ace.
