Albertville’s Free Music Festival Set for August 2-3
Decatur, Ala. – Some pretty impressive entertainment makes its way to north Alabama in August each year when the Main Street Music Festival arrives in Albertville for two days of free concerts. Set for August 2-3, 2019, the annual event attracts local favorites and nationally recognized musicians to the north Alabama community, and is quickly earning a reputation as one of the best festivals in the South.
On Friday, August 2, gates open at 4 p.m. with music getting underway at 5:30 p.m. The lineup includes Whiskey Myers and the Marshall Tucker Band. On Saturday, August 3, gates open at 9 a.m. and music starts at 6:30 p.m. Featured acts consist of Academy of Country Music’s New Female Vocalist of the Year Ashley McBryde and Easton Corbin. The music stage is located at the intersection of Broad Street (Highway 75) and Main Street.
Additional offerings during the two-day event include an inflatable water park for children (Friday 4-7 p.m. and Saturday 9 am.-4 p.m.), merchandise vendors, food and drink vendors and a beer and wine garden.
All activities take place at 116 West Main Street in downtown Albertville unless otherwise noted. Festivalgoers are encouraged to bring chairs and picnic blankets. Coolers, pets and firearms/weapons are not allowed. Admission is free. For more information, visit www.mainstreetmusicfestival.com.
