Four recreation areas are located throughout the forest, offering a wide range of activities. We raise pheasant and quail. Out hunting season for the preserve is Oct. 1-March 31. We also have dove hunting, deer and turkey. Fishing lakes are also on site which are stocked with bass, bluegill, shell cracker and catfish. Cabin is available year-round and is fully furnished and sleeps up to six. Open daily 7 a.m.-7 p.m. State hunting licenses are available at sporting goods stores and all county courthouses across North Alabama. Fees average $125.00 for a 10-day trip permit for All-Game and $75.00 3-day trip permit for All –Game. Both require a $2.00 Issuance Fee.
