Approximately eight miles east of Double Springs. 180,000 acres with an abundance of bluffs, canyons, waterfalls, springs and lakes. Four recreation areas are located throughout the forest, offering a wide range of activities. These include Brushy Lake Recreation Area, located north of Double Springs; Clear Creek Recreation Area located approximately 13.5 miles north of Jasper; Houston Recreation Area, located 12 miles east of Double Springs off Hwy. 278; and the Corinth Recreation Area, 8 miles east of Double Springs off Hwy. 278.

Secluded in the woods at the foot of Lookout Mountain, our farm is a treasure forest where our goals are wildlife management, recreation and timber production. We raise pheasant and quail. Out hunting season for the preserve is Oct. 1-March 31. We also have dove hunting, deer and turkey. Fishing lakes are also on site which are stocked with bass, bluegill, shell cracker and catfish. Cabin is available year-round and is fully furnished and sleeps up to six. Open daily 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

State hunting licenses are available at sporting goods stores and all county courthouses across North Alabama.  Due to seasonal updates, please see the Alabama Hunting & Fishing Digest from the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for fee updates and bag limits. Fees average $125.00 for a 10-day trip permit for All-Game and $75.00 3-day trip permit for All –Game.  Both require a $2.00 Issuance Fee. State and Federal Duck Stamp required when hunting migratory waterfowl.  Small game permits can be purchased as well. (Other fees & restrictions may apply)
