Sci-Quest is Creating Fun for Spring Break
HUNTSVILLE — Sci-Quest, Hands-on Science Center is now registering for its Spring Break Camps, March 12-16 and March 26-30. Camps offer children ages Kindergarten through eighth-grade an informal and hands-on learning experience in subjects such as deciphering hieroglyphics, photography, and game developing on iPads. Sci-Quest is offering a new camp for grades sixth through eighth grades called “iPad Game Developer”. In this camp, children will create their own computer game that runs on the iPad using the popular Codea app. iPads can be rented from Sci-Quest for this camp. Other camps include “Superhero Science” for Kindergarten through second grade, “Smile! The Science of Photography” for third through fifth grade and “Flight Test Laboratory” for sixth through eighth grade. As an added benefit for working parents whose children are attending the camps, Sci-Quest, Hands-on Science Center offers early drop-off at 7:30 a.m. and late pick-up at 5:30 p.m. Participants in the Spring Break Camps must be preregistered prior to the requested program. There is no registration the day of the programs. Class sizes are limited, and enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Sci-Quest Members receive a 10 percent discount.
