FLO RIDA AND RANDY TRAVIS TO HEADLINE GADSDEN’S ANNUAL RIVERFRONT EVENT

Decatur, Ala. – The annual Riverfest music extravaganza along the Coosa River brings in some of the country’s top performers to Gadsden for two days of family fun. Set for June 10th-11th, this year’s superstar talent line-up features rap, rock, and country and is expected to attract anywhere from 25,000 to 35,000 attendees each night.

Hailing from Fort Payne, country musician Leah Seawright kicks off the two-day event on Friday at 5:30 p.m. Eighties rock group Drivin’ N Cryin’ performs at 6:45 p.m. followed by Canadian rock band The Guess Who at 8 p.m. with rapper Flo Rida taking the stage at 9:30 p.m. Saturday’s performers include newly established pop diva Jessie James at 6 p.m., 2005 American Idol runner-up Bo Bice at 7:30 p.m., and country star Randy Travis 9 p.m.

Along with big name entertainment, a Kid’s Play Area in Moragne Park offers inflatables of all shapes and sizes for children 11 years and younger. Teenagers can have their own fun with a live DJ, dance music, and games at the Teen Chill Zone provided by Mountain Dew/Mix 102.9.

Attendees are encouraged to bring sunscreen, lawn chairs, blankets, and an appetite. A variety of vendors offering everything under the sun from arts and crafts to fried Oreos will be lined up along Highway 411. No coolers, pets or video equipment are allowed. Gates open at 4 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Tickets are $25 for an adult weekend pass or $20 per day (12 years and older) and $7 for a child weekend pass or $5 per day (6 to 11 years old). Children five years old and under are admitted free.
